A thunderbolt from a 30-yard away, from Tanoe Akubah’s number 11 shirted man, Azongo Chimsah ensured the Nzema based side had the better of the once Division One League campaigners, Sammin Football Club.

A rather level playing field between the group A sides, but a second of genius from the diminutive attacker in the first department of the game claimed all the points for the team that covered more kilometers for the encounter.

The second half saw the side formerly led by Ghana Premier League winner, Coach Enos Kwame Adepah, dole more attacking urgency to their play, controlling the game from the Prisons end of the field to the Zongo based.

Not a clear cut opportunities fell on the path of Sammin FC – but their dominance in terms possession was glaring, meeting breaks by the waterlogged defense of Tanoe Akubah.

Bright Kwameche, Isaac Donkor and Daniel Tanoe formed the unbleached defense which saw the visitor’s seal a 0:1 victory.

Tanoe Akubah will finish the day with three points to move up on the log – they will play again on Tuesday against, Sefwi All Stars. Sammin FC will have to wait till Wednesday and hope that Tanoe Akubah lose against Sefwi All Stars.

The Group A first game followed a one all draw between Group C sides, Prestea Mine Stars and Insha Allahu.
