Insha Allahu failed to hold on again, this time against Rail Stars in a game that most spectators described as the best on the day – day two of the Western Region Middle League.
Rail Stars tipped off brightly and nearly found the game’s first, but all attacks from the Essikado based side met the strong arms of goalkeeper, Maxwell Mensah.
Insha Allahu took off controls 15 minutes into the game, and most importantly had the game’s first via the promptings of number 6 shirted jersey, Eugene Opoku, he had a great time no wonder the commissioner on the day pointed him out as the Man of the Match.
Eugene Opoku served on a plate a nice pass to George Parkah, whose crossing met the tallest in the air, Hamza Mohammed for the game’s first on the 29th minute mark.
Rail Star’s Christian Bossu Mensah wouldn’t allow the goal to last, his 43rd minute header dummied goalkeeper, Maxwell Opoku – 1:1 the half ended.
An even playing field again when the two returned from their lockers. The likes of Eric Wonkyi Arthur, Wisdom Abbo, Christian Bossu Mensah had their first half display lifted and Rail Stars chopped more of the possession.
There were enough chances that should’ve produced the game’s winner, but both sides lackadaisically ensured the one apiece stood and the referee whistled for the game to end.
Insha Allahu have drawn both games played. Rail Star are on a point after just a game played and will take on Mine Stars on Wednesday, at 8:00AM.
