WAFU U17: Black Starlets held to a goalless draw against Niger

The Black Starlets of Ghana drew their opening game in the West Africa Football Union Under 17, tournament against host, Niger in Niamey.

Ghana had a clear opportunity to come ahead in the game after they were handed a penalty in the 43rd minutes but Simon Asamoah Appiah squandered the chance as his effort went over the bar.

Niger pilled pressure on Ghana in the second half but all thanks to David Kudjo, none of their chances went into the net.

The Black Starlets of Ghana of Ghana will play their final group game against Togo on September 8, 2018.
