U-20 African Youth Championship: Ghana knocked out

The Black Starlets have been knocked out from the ongoing U-20 African Youth Championship at Niger despite a good start.

The Ghana U-20 team won their opening game against Burkina Faso by 2-1 but failed to pick a point from their two remaining games against Senegal and Mali respectively which means they are out of the tournament and couldn’t qualify to the World Cup which will be staged at Poland later this year.

Drame’s 53rd minutes strike meant Senegal and Mali have made it into the semi finals of the 2019 African U-20 Youth Championship and for the U-20 FIFA World Cup as well. Ghana accumulated only 3 points from a possible 9 to place third in the group.
