Thomas Teye Partey and others awarded at maiden Ghana Football Awards

Thomas Partey was crowned the best footballer at the maiden edition of the Ghana Football Awards in Accra last night.

Partey, who played an influential role in Atletico Madrid’s Europa League success last season, saw off competition from shortlisted candidates Jordan Ayew and Albert Adomah to claim the prize.

The Athletico Madrid midfielder was voted as the footballer of the year at the Sports Writers Association of Ghana(SWAG) which was held two month ago.

Head Coach of Aduana Stars, Yusif Abubakar won the best local coaach of the year.
