Spice 91.9 FM’s Sports Journalist, Kyei Yaw Baffour has opined that former Sekondi Hasaacas attacker; Samuel Afful should have played for FC Barcelona with the potential he had growing up as a footballer.
The outspoken journalist who followed Samuel Afful during his playing days at Sekondi Hasaacas said that the attacker should have played for Spanish La Liga giant; FC Barcelona with the potential he had growing up.
Popularly known by many as Okocha, Samuel Afful disclosed in an interview with Spicefmonline.com that his aim is to play better than legendary Jay Jay Austin Okocha which Kyei Baffour thinks it is not achievable but should have played for FC Barcelona.
“My focus is not on the Jay Jay Okocha comparison because I think it is not achievable but I think with the potential he had growing up; I think he should have played for FC Barcelona in the Spanish Primera Liga” Kyei Yaw Baffour said.
“The Samuel Afful that I watched in the Ghana Division One League sometime ago should have played for a top club like FC Barcelona. His style of play was just like that of former Barcelona attacker, Thierry Henry. He had pace, skill and was scoring goals for fun, I remember how he tormented the defence line of Dunkwa United when they played against Hasaacas in the Division One League” he added.
The ex-Sekondi Hasaacas striker is currently a free agent after returning from Iraq following an unsuccessful spell with Al Talaba.
