Central defender, Richard Ocran has confirmed annulling his contract with Obuasi based, Ashantigold Sporting Club.
The former Dreams Football Club player revealed in an interview with Radio Silver that indeed management of the club has called for a contract termination which he has accepted and will move on.
On February 6, 2017, then relegated Dreams FC[Still Believe] side revealed that the center back has joined the Miners, but failed to furnish its social media commentators with the duration and certain actuals of the deal.
Richard Ocran who scored three goals for the Lane Clay Stadium users expressed his disappointment in the decision made by the club’s management – further claiming that there were many offers from Cyprus, Monrovia and other countries which he declined in a bid of ensuring the Obuasi based side escaped relegation.
“Yes, I’ve ended my contract with Ashantigold SC, management is blaming me that, any team I play for battles relegation and by so calling for my contract to be terminated.
“There were deals from Cyprus and Monrovia yet I decided to stick with Ashantigold SC, I’ve done these for the club, imagine what management is blaming me on” – Richard Ocran said.
The defender stated that he has cancelled his stay and the club has put in place a plan to ensure what is due him will be paid.
