Bis Paradise Sporting Club, a Division two club based in the Western Region donated some exercise books to players of their youth team on Wednesday, September 12, at the Effia-Kuma Police Park.
The exercise was to ease some of the burden on parents of the wards ahead of the 2018 Academic Year.
Speaking to the media after the donation, Michael Quarshie, Chairman of Bis Paradise said that they did that to ease of part of the pressure on guardians and parents of the kids.
“School has reopened and we have seen that there is pressure on the parent of the kids so we decided to help by giving them some of the books, pen’s and mathematical set, we have even given some of them full set of books.
“We have told the players that it is not just playing football but adding education to it is also very important because we realized that when players sign contract they struggle and don’t know it”
Helping to do the donation was former Medeama Sporting Club defender, Daniel Amoah.
