Ghanaian teenage movie-star, Clara Benson, known by movie lovers as Maame Serwaa, has shared her experiences of life during her days in school as an S.H.S. student, and her hopes for the future, in an interview on Beach 105.5 FM.

According to the teenage Kumawood sensation who graduated from Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School in May, this year, juggling school and acting wasn’t much of a problem because she only worked on weekends. She added that, she was a day student, and not a boarder, and, was also disciplined academically.

Asked if she received any preferential treatment during her West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, she responded in the negative. According to her, status, has absolutely no part to play in examinations.

On whether she would have cheated or asked for assistance from her mates, considering her star status, she confessed she wouldn’t have felt too proud to ask for help… ‘’I don’t take my status there, if I don’t know, I don’t know; I will ask. But, it isn’t allowed, so I didn’t.’’

According to the young Kumawood star, to have a taste of life outside the Garden City, her preferred choice of tertiary education, would be either the University of Ghana, or the University of Cape Coast.

When asked if she will consider entering a relationship now that she has graduated from High School, she said, she already has a boyfriend, and his name is Jesus.

Concerning how she handles criticism and rumours on social media, Clara Benson, known in movie circles as Maame Serwaa, stated that, as tough as it is, she welcomes it, because inadvertently, it keeps her trending.
