Egyptian international, Mohammed Salah was named Best African Footballer of the Year 2018 last night at Senegal.
The Liverpool forward beat off competition from fellow teammate, Sadio Mane and Gabonese forward Pierre Emerick Aubamayang.
Salah after receiving the award which he won in 2017 in Ghana disclosed that it was a childhood dream to clinch the award.
“I have dreamt of winning this award since I was child and now I have done so twice in a row,” Salah said.
The former AS Roma striker scored 44 goals for Liverpool during the 2017-18 season, helping the Reds to the Champions League final before scoring twice for Egypt at the World Cup in Russia.
He has scored 16 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool this season.
