Michael Essien lauds Black Princesses despite loss to France

Former Black Stars Midfielder, Michael Essien has said he is proud of the Black Princesses despite their heavy loss to France in the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Princesses of Ghana started their 2018 U-20 Women’s World Cup on a slow note after losing 4-1 to host France. Michael Essien who is part of the volunteers for the tournament watched the game from the stands and has expressed his happiness for the Black Princesses after the heavy defeat.

“I want to tell #BlackPrincesses that I’m proud of you! U gave the match tonight everything. Don’t lose ❤. I Believe IN U👊🏿 @FIFAWWC #U20WWC” he tweeted after the game.

The Black Princesses of Ghana will play their next game against Netherlands on Wednesday, August 8,2018.
