Kumasi Asante Kotoko have issued a statement following the accident involving the club’s bus.

Several players have sustained varying injuries with head coach Steve Pollack and his assistant Godwin Ablordey reportedly in a critical condition.

The club’s equipment officer has been confirmed dead but the club has issued a statement on it website calling on supporters to be calm.

Below is the full statement.

“Players and officials on our team bus returning to Kumasi after our game with Inter Allies in Accra have been involved in an accident.

“The accident occurred around 9:45pm at Nkawkaw, when our bus ran into a stationary vehicle.
