Hearts vrs Kotoko: The gods have spoken – Opare Addo
Communications director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has fired a strong claim to the title before even kickoff of the MTN FA Cup final against Asante Kotoko on October 29 at Tamale.
In his speech at the unveiling of the final mascot, Mr. Obia ny3 Obia, Opare Addo said it was their target to win the FA Cup right from the start of the 2016-2017 season and they can’t slip up this time around after 17 years wait.
The final which will be covered across ten TV channels will be the fourth between the two teams with the Porcupine Warriors ending victorious in all previous three.
Opare Addo has already opened fire making pinpoint statement that the gods have already judged in the favor of the Rainbow family.
“We will attempt after 17 solid years to falter, it will not happen. We said it right from the beginning that our mission is to win this cup but we didn’t want to invite pressure on us that’s why we kept it game after game,”Opare said at the unveiling of the final Mascot.
“Eventually, the final game is here with us and we cannot falter and we need the support of every Phobian to make sure that this will happen. For Hearts of Oak this year, the promise is and was never to allow Asante Kotoko to beat us in any way and on 29th once the football gods have spoken nothing will change and Hearts of Oak will win.”
The Phobians will be contesting the final after 17 years hiatus, though the most successful club of the competition.
The supper clash comes off on the 29th of October, 2017 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
