Ghana Secondary Technical School emerged winners of the 2018 Inter Schools and Colleges Football Competition after beating Takoradi Technical Institute 6-5 on penalties.
Henry Nyarko opened the scoring for Takoradi Technical Institute in the first half. The youngster curled the ball into the top left corner after the defence of GSTS failed to clear their lines in their 18 – yard box.
Substitute Henry Nkasah Atakorah brought GSTS back on track with the last kick of the first half. He received a pass in the 18 – yard box and went pass two TTI defenders to score the equaliser.
Despite numerous chances being created in the second half, no goal was scored by either side as the game travelled to penalties.
GSTS missed their first kick in the shootouts. TTI scored their first four but missed their last two whereas GSTS scored their last five kicks to win the giant trophy.
