Goldfields W/R Invitational Tournament Trophy Tour Lands at Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area

The ongoing trophy tour of the 2019 Goldfields Western Region Invitational Tournament made its first stop at the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area.

As part of plans of creating awareness, the Local Organizing Committee of the Goldfields Western Region Invitational are embarking on a trophy tour at areas where all participating teams find themselves.

The tour which started on Friday, September 13th, 2019 made its first stop at the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area where they were received by the Gyaasehene and the acting Paramount Chief of the traditional area.

Elders of the traditional area advised the organisers to be fair to all participating clubs.

Nana Kwame Dankah and his Chiefs gave their blessings to the tournament and prayed for a successful tournament.

Other Chiefs who joined Nana Dankah to welcome the touring team included Okyeame Nuakoh, Okyeame Afrane, the Paramount chief’s linguist, Kyeame Bimpong, chief linguist, Nana Owidie Krokro Ansah, Wassa Amemfi Abakomahene, Nana Gyaakwaw Pia II, Chief of Adamanso, Nana Kwaw Fobiri II, chief of Bawdie, Nana Ntim Bediako, Wassa Dompim.

The tournament to scheduled to start on September 21st, 2019.
