Black Queens forward, Gifty Ayew Asare has been accorded the Most Valuable Player after a superb season which has seen her score 26 goals, 3 goals shy off BreAnn Tolleson’s record of 29.
The number 12 shirted jersey scored 4 goals over the weekend against Seminole to extend her own record of 23 goals in 21 matches last season to 26 in 17 games this season.
Gifty is now the Women’s Soccer Division One Most Valuable Player from the start to the semi-finals and is leading the race for the final game today.
The former Blessed Ladies attacker dedicated the award to her grandmother – “That’s for you GrandMa, I love you to the moon and back”.
The North Oklahoma College attacker earned a call-up for the first time to the Black Queens camp on October 21, 2017.
