Center back for Belarusian side ZFK Minsk, Faustina Ampah earlier today posted a picture of herself in a heightened training at Prague, Czech Republic with the caption “readying for UEFA Champions League”.
Faustina Ampah 19, is gearing up to participate in her first UEFA Champions League tournament after crossing carpets from Ghana’s division one league side, Blessed Ladies to Belarus’s topflight league trophy holders ZFK Minsk earlier this year.

Minsk were paired in group F of the 2017 – 18 UEFA Champions League prelims to be played at Czech Republic from August 22 – 28. Group E comprises of Switzerland’s FC Zurich Frauen, Slovenia’s Olimpija Ljubljana, Malta’s Birkirkara and Belarus’s ZFK Minsk.
Fellow national, Ernestina Abambila joined Faustina Ampah at ZFK Minsk last week. The two featured in Ghana’s Black Princesses campaign at FIFA Under-20 at Papua New Guinea.
Faustina Ampah and Ernestina Abambila will have a feel of the UEFA Champions League for the first time August 22 when they face Birkirkara. They will later play Olimpija Ljubljana three days later before ending the campaign with FC Zurich Frauen on August 28.
The winner of the group will earn an automatic slot to the next phase whiles runner ups might secure the best second place slot.
The two are monitored closely by authorities as Ghana prepares to host the 2019 African Women’s Nations Cup.
