Ekow Essilfie calls for the Black Stars to be dissolved

Head of Sports for Beach 105.5 FM, Ekow Essilfie has called on authorities to dissolve the Black Stars if the country wants to win the African Cup of Nations in the near future.

Ghana failed to once again end their 37-year old trophy drought after they were knocked out by Tunisia on penalties at the 2019 African of Nations at Egypt.

Reacting to the exit which is Ghana’s worst performance in the nations cup since 2006 on Adze Kyee mu Ns3m, Ekow Essilfie said the team did nothing to show that they were ready to end the trophy drought and in moving forward, the team has to be dissolved.

“We did nothing to show that we wanted to end the trophy drought; players were just called for calling sake but only 23 players made the cut for the tournament.

“If we are serious, and I guess we are serious that is why we are committing a lot resources into the team, but we are not doing the right things, the monies are there but we are not doing things that will make them useful

“ There is no hope if we continue with the way we are doing things, we need to write our wrongs, until then, that football nation tag alone won’t help us, we have to erase that and put in more efforts to win the trophy.

“We need to dissolve the technical team, players like Andre Ayew, John Boye, Baba Rahman don’t deserve a place in the team again” Ekow Essilfie opined.
