General Manager of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo turned down news making waves that Asante Kotoko CEO wants to contest for the vacant Ghana Football Association Presidential seat.
Oduro Sarfo said in an interview with Spice 91.9 FM that Dr. Kwame Kyei doesn’t qualify for the vacant seat according to the newly approved statutes at Thursday’s congress.
“I’m not sure Dr. Kwame Kyei has expressed interest, someone is just forcing it on him, I am not sure he has expressed interest, because he doesn’t qualify in the first place” he said in an interview with Spice 91.9 FM.
“Before one can qualify to be the President of the Ghana Football Association, he has to be with a team for more than five years but Kwame Kyei has been with Kotoko for just four years so he doesn’t qualify. I don’t think he will even do it because Dr. doesn’t like talking in public” he added.
The vacant GFA Presidential seat will be contested by Kurt Okraku, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, George Afriyie, Nana Yaw Amposah and Fred Pappoe.
