Coach Kwesi Appiah’s Black Stars have three days available to train at Kenya ahead of the game day five 2018 CAF world cup qualifier encounter against Uganda’s Cranes at Kampala.
The nation’s senior national team will have the three days training at Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, before proceeding to Uganda’s Kampala to lock horns in a must win encounter on October 7.
Players called-up for the encounter will have to directly meet the technical team at Nairobi from their European and American clubs for preparation ahead of the game against Cranes.
The team will arrive in Nairobi on October 3, before crossing the border to play the Kenyan neighbors in the encounter which is expected to be difficult.
Group E is made up of Ghana, Congo, leader’s Egypt and second place Uganda.
In the last match Ghana beat Congo 5-1 away. They had earlier drawn 1-1 with Congo at home.
In their first match, Ghana drew 0-0 with Uganda at home and lost 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria in their second group match.
Meanwhile, Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has named a 26-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
The called-ups include debutantes Kingsley Sarfo of Swedish side Malmo, USA-based Abass Mohammed, Kasim Nuhu of Swiss club Young Boys, Hearts of Oak defender Vincent Atinga and Inter Allies ace Isaac Twum.
Bundesliga campaigner, right-back Daniel Opare returns to the side for the first time since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil following good showing for Augsburg.
