Football Association Chairman Robert Tieku Duncan has debunked reports going on in the media that the Cape Coast Stadium is not in good shape to host Ghana’s clash against South Africa in the upcoming AFCON 2021 qualifier.
The Black Stars will play South Africa on November 14th, 2019 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Robert Duncan in an interview with Abaidoo Abednego on Spice Center Sports denied claims that pitch is in a bad state ahead of the clash on Thursday.
“I don’t understand why we will use a pitch in a poor state for a Black Stars game.
“Same thing happened during the AWCON, people said the pitch wasn’t in good shape but it ended up hosting the tournament.
“Those people aren’t technical people, the pitch goes through a routine maintenance, the grass on the pitch is intentionally grown with fertilizer, so a time will come when we will do maintenance and shape the grass and not like a new stadium where everything is done afresh.
