Asante Kotoko head coach Kjetil Zacheriason has pleaded to the fans of the porcupine warriors following their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup on November 3, 2019 against San Pedro.
Kotoko failed to qualify to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup despite a first leg win against San Pedro FC. They lost 2-0 in the return fixture at Abidjan.
Kjetil Zacheriason was given a target to reach the money zone of the CAF Confederation Cup but has failed after the defeat to San Pedro and has reacted with a plea.
Speaking to press after the defeat to San Pedro, Kjetil Zacheriason apologized to the fans for the exit and added that it was unfortunate they lost from two set pieces goals.
“Let me say we are very sorry for the loss, two set pieces goals against us and it is what we have been training on because we know they are strong in the air, we wanted to really avoid all free kicks around our penalty area” Kjetil Zacheriason said after the game.
