Embrace Entrepreneurship, Kobby Tells The Ghanaian Youth

The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has Challenged the Ghanaian youth to be persistent, committed, hardworking and above all encourage themselves in all things in anticipation of a better tomorrow and bright future as they work hard towards their dreams.

He was speaking as the guest speaker at the 2019 Ghana Youth Summit held at the Accra Conference Center on August 2nd.

The Ghana Youth Summit is aimed at providing a common platform for young people to engage, network and leverage sustainable employment opportunities. 

According to the organizers, “the vision is to nurture a systematic and sustainable outreach program designed to invest in the ambitions of the youth in Ghana”. 

In his speech, Hon. Dr. Okyere Darko Mensah said the future of every country is entrusted in her youth and demand greater responsibility from the Ghanaian youth and holdfast the network to sustain their cohesion which is a great incentive for progress and development.

The legislature who doubles as the Western Regional Minister however mention that the Nana Addo led government is commitmented to further enhance the initiatives already rolled out to improve the lives of the Ghanaian youth irrespective of where you come from; as he outlined some major policy interventions the youth must take full advantage of. 

The Youths he said should embrace entrepreneurship, since it is rewarding. 

“Africans will be more than Chinese in six(6) years as we stay focus and optimistic and with African continental free trade area, there will be competition and opportunities worth three(3) trilion dollars, which the youths need to build their capacity to identify them to succeed”.

“The youths should chase their ideas with passion, and strive to be solution oriented people by providing solutions to community needs which will bring the financial resources they require not the other way round” he added.
