W/R:“Be Sensitive To Our Plight”, NDC Tells Nana Addo

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is calling on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to immediately attend to the cry of the western region with regards to the three Kidnapped Takoradi Girls which seems to become a forgotten story.

According to the press statement signed by Richard Kirk-mensah the Western Regional Communication Officer for the NDC, It rather a worrying situation that the western region and the majority of Ghanaians are increasingly losing hope in the words of the president.

The statement entreaties that president to attach some seriousness to the Takoradi kidnap case just has he did for the football fraternity just before the AFCON.

“We know you  don’t care about the people of western region but we the NDC in the western region humbly appeal to you to take time out of 2 day tour to  visit the families of the kidnapped girls and give the family hope  and counsel that any father worth the name will administer on his family in situations like this.”

PRESS RELEASE

22/07/19

PRESIDENT NANA ADDO MUST SHOW CONCERN AND EMPATHIZE WITH THE FAMILIES OF THE TAKORADI KIDNAPPED GIRLS

The western region NDC communication secretariat has sighted a proposed itinerary of the president of the republic’s  surprise visit to our region.

It is shocking that the president is coming to the western region for another tour when the things he came to do after his previous visit have not yielded anything  positive in the lives of the people of western region.

It a worrying situation that the western region and the majority  of Ghanaians are increasingly losing hope in the words of the number one gentleman of the land.

A typical example of why the people of  western region don’t believe his excellency Nana Akufo-Addo is that he told the  the people of Sekondi-Takoradi that the the proposed Takoradi interchange would start in January 2019.  We wonder if we are still in 2018; the president and his NPP government even disrespected and deceived the people of Mpohor by cutting sod for the commencement of the mpohor-kajebri road only for the fake contractor to pack off his machinery from site when ceremony ended.

Mr president, the people of Sekondi- Takoradi want to know the  whereabouts of GNPC headquarters. What has happened to the western rail line which is the life line of the railway sector of this country? sir please where is our share of the one million per constituency? where is our share of the one district one factory? we just want remind you that your predecessor the visionary JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA didn’t promise 1D1F; yet we can count more than 20 factories that were built in his Era in the SEKONDI TAKORADI enclave: diamond cement factory, tile factory a ehyiem, alcohol factory at yabiw are but a few.

Your excellency, apart from the unprecedented economic hardship you have brought on the people of western region and for that matter Ghana as a result of bad policies that your government rushed to implement like  collapsing small scale mining of Ghanaian indigenes to the benefit of Chinese galamsey queens,  you have done next to nothing positive. Our region was very peaceful people until your government took over.

Three different innocent children from our twin city were kidnapped last year but you as the supposed father of all Ghanaians have not shown any sign of interest in this serious tragedy.

Your appointees especially the minister of state in charge National security and CID boss have resulted in playing with the emotions and feelings of the suffering parents of this kids.

What really made the people of the region lose hope in you was how this very important issue was conspicuously left out of your state of the nation address a few months ago.

Your excellency, before the AFCON, you took it upon your self to personally resolve a banter between our national team coach and the general captain, yet you don’t see the importance of even visiting or inviting the parents of the three innocent girls to give them some home hope. With this, the people of SEKONDI Takoradi have come to terms with the unfortunate fact that that the black stars are more important that the lives of these 3 innocent and helpless children.

Your excellency, with all due respect, will you have handled this matter this way  if any of the missing girls bears Akufo-Addo, OFORI ATTA, or okyere Darko as a surname?

The tragic attack on a paramount chief in the Ahanta land few hours ago is  typical example of how the people of  Western region are living in fear under your leadership.

We know you  don’t care about the people of western region but we the NDC in the western region humbly appeal to you to take time out of 2 day tour to  visit the families of the kidnapped girls and give the family hope  and counsel that any father worth the name will administer on his family in situations like this.

THANK you.
