President announces state burial for Amissah-Arthur

Speaking to his family after they visited at the Jubilee House to officially inform him of the late Vice President’s demise, Akufo-Addo also noted that an official book of condolence would be opened for the late former Vice President at the Accra International Conference Centre starting on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

“I have decided, and it is an obvious decision that he should be given a full state burial, and as of today, and for the next five days, Ghana’s national flag will fly in half-mast, here and across the country in commemoration of the death of our former vice president”.

Spokesperson for the family, Jabesh Amissah Arthur, also said a memorial service will be held on Friday July 6, during which an official date for his burial and funeral rites will be announced.|Ghana
