About 80 workers of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) are to be sent home this month June, 2018.

A deep throat source at the corridors of STMA tells Spicefmonline that some of these workers of the assembly who are going to be laid off have been casuals for over ten years.

Few will be sacked based on non-performance whiles others are going home because they are over due for retirement.

Spicefmonline can confirm that, the most affected departments are the Environmental Health (sanitary laborer’s), Metro Guards and Secretaries who are not under controller.

Meanwhile, there has been some major transfers within the assembly as well which took effect from today Monday, June 4, 2018.

Mr. Frank Yeboah, a Deputy Coordinating Director recently transferred from the Shama District to STMA now moves to Takoradi Sub-Metro as the administrator whiles Richmond Bosompim Ababio the Takoradi Sub-Metro administrator heads to Essikado-Keten Sub-Metro to relieve Mark Mintah Sarkodie who has been called back to the main office in Sekondi.

Mrs. Jennifer Boham was maintained at the Sekondi Sub-Metro since she was just transferred to Sekondi from Effia-Kwesimintsim Sub-Metro now Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA).

Spicefmonline is following this developing story within STMA keenly and will bring readers details as it unravels.
