Nzema based Ghana Premier league side Karela United Football Club are on the verge of signing former Aduana Stars duo of right back, Godfred Saka and center back, Stephen Adams ahead of their maiden Ghana Premier League campaign.
Stephen Adams and Godfred Saka are as it stands out of contract with the Dormaa based side after their contracts with the two times league champions expired at the end of the 2016-17 season.
Management member of Karela, Eric Alajidede has confirmed the development to Citi-Sports and says talks with both players are in the final stages.
“We’ve had discussions with both players, and we intend to sign them to boost our league chances next season. We are not only looking at coming to the league and being relegated the following season,” he said.
“We want to stay in the league for as long as possible and that is why we are going for these experienced hands. They are both free agents and we are deep into discussions with the two.”
Karela United Football Club are preparing to take part in the GHALCA G8 tournament which starts on January 6 and will be facing Accra Hearts of Oak at the Cape Coast Stadium as the tournament’s opener.
